County Police are in charge. Officer Wyatt and Sheriff Chinn are investigating this case. The reason they can’t put out an Amber Alert on her is because the police do not know who she is with. In order to place an Amber Alert to be issued in Kansas they need to have more information. Also, Officer Wyatt is now treating this as a runaway case. They don’t want us to place posters up in the area because he wants to catch the guy allowed her to get into his truck. Officer Wyatt doesn’t want her to get spooked or the guy to get away. Posting online is ok.
A girl matching the description of my niece was spotted getting into a Semi with the letters ABF. We checked the system and found that this trucking company runs from
Kansas City to Liberal Kansas. We have a lot of people on this and we are receiving a lot of information from all over the State. The officers placed her in the police data bank but not sent to the public yet. Officer Wyatt is trying to bait the guy by not letting them know we are closing in on them. Still not enough information to get an Amber Alert.
If anyone sees her please call the police immediately.
The trucking company has been very cooperative with the police so much so that they gave us the route that their drivers are supposed to travel. Also, we feel the police know more about the man than they are telling us. This is why we think this: I’ve been asking why they haven’t put out an Amber Alert on her yet and they said “we don’t want to spook this guy. We want to catch him once and for all.” When we inquire for more details, they simply say “we are not at liberty to release that information.” So that didn’t help us.
I now also have the route the trucking company takes. Here it is:This is to and from
Kansas City to Liberal and back again:
US 54 to Pratt where they turn onto KS-61 then hwy 50 to Emporia then 35 into
Kansas City, MO. Reverse this route for returning to Liberal, KS.
There are police stationed at both hotels the truckers are supposed to stay at. We also have notified the police of the route of the trucking company. Hopefully we will catch this guy and Tasha will be ok.
This morning at 4:30 am, my daughter, who was delivering papers, seen a semi matching the description of the one seen with a girl who matched Tasha’s description. She called me, I called my sister-in-law and they sat at the end of the driveway waiting to see if it would take the same route he is supposed to which runs right by their house. No luck, yet. I’m about to pull my hair out!
I’ve talked to so many people that my throat is killing me!!!! The worst part is that I know the police are not telling us everything.
Pawz Up,
