Update on artist who displayed starving dog as “art”
Dear The Pawz Cauze Show:
Please know that we are aware of the situation and are working with
local ngos. According to our partner organizations in Central America,
the dog was in a state of starvation when he was captured from the
street for display. There is conflicting information, but we have heard
that the dog spent one day in the exhibit and later escaped the gallery.
The Honduran ngo that we have been working with has confirmed that the
Biennial organizers of the Honduran gallery have agreed to ban this
“artist” from the gallery.
The organizers have stated that they will
also include new competition rules that prohibit the abuse of animals.
