Hello.I just found out today that My 4 pound poodle Sam has a shunt in his liver that never closed at birth, and if it is not fixed VERY soon he will start having seizures and pass. Sam is only a year old and he is my very best friend.
I talked to the vet today and they can send him off to the

University of

Georgia to have the surgery, but it is going to cost 2500. Me being in college still and laid off from my job, I am struggling to pay for my own bills, and have no way of coming up with that kind of money to make my Sam better. We first found out that this was an issue when after six months of trips to the vet, he has only gained one ounce. He is extremely underweight and you can see every bone in his body. My little guy, he eats, but because the shunt is not closed off, the food goes directly through him not passing through his belly. Causing him to not be able to gain any weight and he stays hungry.
I have got to find a way to come up with this money to get my best friend better, so he can eat and put on some weight, and so he will not start having seizures and leave me. The vets say we have to hurry and get it taken care of soon before the seizures start…
If there is anything anyone can do to help me, I would greatly appreciate it, and Sam would too (even though he thinks he is perfectly fine-except the tummy pains that he has every time he eats that Mommy knew nothing about :(.)

I know many people do not see animals as important as people, but God sees Sam, just as he would any human, I know it. Sam is a miracle from God, there is no reason other than the fact that God loves Sam- that my best friend is still with me today. I wish I could just pick up the phone and make him the appointment, but without the money, they will not even look at him. Miracles do come true, and I am asking to help my miracle stay here with me..

Hi Everyone,  As you may know I am very good friends with Maria Daines (singing sensation from UK who wrote our theme song) and Mary Alice Pollard of

Cornwall’s Voice for Animals.  This crossed my desk today.  You may have seen this already but if not, please don’t ignore it.  I support our troops, not the war, but I will not condone any soldier, no matter where from, abusing or killing an animal for fun.  That is animal abuse and that is what my show fights.  So here is the information that was sent to me.  Please pass this on. 

Remember “the greatest evil is when good people look away from harm being done to the helpless”.  Do not turn away, please force yourself to watch then get angry, get very angry and take a stand for the animals….do something about it.  Help change the world one animal at a time by sending a letter or email to the appropriate places to voice your disgust of the situation.
