Hello All,

Hope you are having a great day. I wanted to get a jump start on someone who might try to cause some problems for me and the show. So I am posting it here and on all of my sites before he is able to twist my words around or change my email response to him to make me look bad. I received the following email today and I am posting it here along with my response so that it is in the open for all to see and read for themselves. Feel free to spread it around. It won’t bother me. I stand behind what I said to him and I will not be intimidated by ANYONE. The sooner people learn this, the better off the world would be. This is how I end arguments when people try to get in my way or undermine what I am doing or what I stand for. So, here it is in black and white, copied and pasted directly from my email with no changes or deletions. Word for word of what was said and I do mean every word I typed.

Through facebook and other media, I notice that you reach a number of people and I wanted to ask why you speak so rarely about veganism. You are a vegan I would assume. I know you support vegans but I just cant recall ever seeing you mention that you are specifically so I wanted to ask. If you are not a vegan would you please explain why.

Also, when you speak about the animal control officer in KS you mention that a dog was shot I believe while chained. This is in excusable. I do hope you also educated your friend about how cruel it is to chain a dog. You also mention when discussing this case how valuable the dog was…..is that because it was purchased? Again I hope you educated your friend about how “every time you buy, another dog dies”.

Hello Matt,

I hope this email finds you doing well and making a positive difference in the world. Since I don’t believe in beating around the bush, I am going to jump right in and answer your inappropriate and rude questions.

You apparently do not listen to my show or you would know that I have done several shows about Veganism. I also respect the decisions others make for themselves because they are the ones who have to pay for their actions in the long run. I educate, I do not dictate. I have, on many occasions, stated that I am Vegan and why. However, I am not completely Vegan because I have spoiled chickens that give me good eggs and spoiled goats and cows for milk of which I use to make my own butter. I do not purchase these items from the store; they are gifts from my own animals that I tenderly care for every day.

As for the dog, we live in a small town. The owners of the dog have several dogs. They are inside dogs but to keep them safe, the dogs are taken outside one at a time to spend some time in the sunshine and to use the bathroom. The family was not allowed to put in fencing so the chain was their only option of allowing the dogs to have time outside. The dogs were never left on the chain for long periods of time. The dogs are very well cared for and the family does their very best for their animals that they can. They just recently were able to find a home in a nearby town that they could afford to purchase instead of renting and we are assisting them in getting fencing put up since we were given a ton of fencing that we don’t need. At the time the shooting occurred, they were renting a small mobile home and the owner wouldn’t allow fencing to be put up because he knew they would take it down when they moved. They had problems with the dogs escaping and running out of the yard and they feared that the dogs would be killed or harmed if they couldn’t get them to stay in their tiny yard. THAT is why they used the chain. It was to protect the dogs, not to keep them outside 24/7.

The dog was a rescued wolf hybrid that is very very rare. THAT is why the dog was so valuable. They rescued the dog, took him to the vet and found out about how rare his breed was and the vet was amazed that the breed still existed. To the family, the dog was much more than just a rare breed that they rescued; he was the kids’ best friend, the other dogs loved him dearly and are going through depression stages that I am helping them deal with by using essential oils on them and diffusing the oils in the home as well as play therapy. The loss of Thunder effected more than just the humans involved, it effected the animals as well.

Now, let me tell you a thing or two. How dare you email me and try to undermine all that I do and all that I stand for. I have devoted my life to my show and to the animals. I work 20 hours a day online and in the community talking to people about animals and their importance to the Earth and our environment. You obviously know nothing about me and you just wasted an hour of my time that could have been spent networking shelter animals to save lives. What do you do daily with your time? It looks to me that you would rather distract those of us whom are making real differences in the world and judging others than helping to make a difference in the lives of animals. The time you took to harass me, you could have spent networking animals, starting your own show to help animals, or go to a school and teach the children to respect animals instead of torturing and killing them. You are not my father, God, my husband, or anyone that is involved in my life so you have no right to question my motives or my work. You seem to be a person who just likes to stur up trouble however he can to prevent those of us whom are making real differences in the lives of animals and humans. What a great way to make an impression.

Now if you don’t mind, I have animals to save and people who need help. You have a great day. Try to do something more positive with your time. It will make you a better person.

Oh, and if I wasn’t making such a great difference in the world, I guess I wouldn’t have been nominated for Woman of the Year for 2011. A nomination that I never expected and never asked to receive but if I am the winner, I will hang the plaque on my wall to remind me that I AM making a TRUE difference in the world.

One last thing that I just can’t help but mention, I don’t care how you react to my response because you are now part of my spam folder right along side all the others who try to stop me from doing my work. Go ahead and post this email for the world to see because I have already beat you to it. By the time you read this, your email message and this response will already be posted on all of my sites for the world to see. I have nothing to hide and I am ashamed of nothing I do, say or feel. That is the great part of being free. Have a great life, I know I am and you are very welcome.

PLEASE sign it and pass it on. This woman needs stopped, arrested, convicted of animal abuse as well as shooting a firearm inside the city. I am sorry I have not been writing much. I’m getting old and cranky but I just knew I had to share this story with all of you. I don’t know what I would do if someone tried to take me from my mom I’ve had for my entire life! I know if they tried, mom would give them a hell of a fight!
